Interim Chief Operating Officer

The client was an expert business intelligence and analytics consultancy with a handful of expert consultants based in the UK, USA, mainland Europe and India.  The client had a good growth pattern, but wanted to grow further.

On arrival and within a short space of time we had several targets in mind. The first was to continue growing at a healthy pace,  the second was to grow in new product spaces associated with data integration, data migration and data analytics, and the third was to get recognised on The Sunday Times Tech Track 100.

Having targets would in effect force the company to get in place the procedures and processes required for a company to grow, to hire the right people with the right skills, and would also allow healthy sustainable diversification with new products into existing markets and customers.

Organising and writing bid responses, pitching to potential clients, organising the company for successful programme and project delivery and mobilisation culminated in winning several large deals with FTSE 100 companies, and other leading international companies in several sectors.

The company continued to grow at a pace and expanded rapidly on its workforce in the UK and India, and this allowed a solid base for further expansion into other territories.

We worked with the company for three years and all targets were met. The company is now a leading international business intelligence and analytics consultancy.
